A PRIME suspect in the 1993 Stephen Lawrence murder case has been locked up on drug charges.
Gary Dobson, aged 34, of Mountain Hill, Swanley, was sentenced to five years in prison at Kingston Crown Court yesterday after admitting supplying Class B drugs and possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.
He appeared alongside 62-year-old Stephen Fennell, from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, who was jailed for 14 years for possession of drugs with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.
Dobson was one of five people arrested soon after Mr Lawrence's death.
However, no-one has ever been convicted of the 18-year-old’s murder.
Mr Lawrence, a black A-level student, was killed as he waited for a bus in Eltham in April 1993.
