A TEAM of staff from Bexley Council and Bexley Care Trust has been taking part in a fitness run.
More than 80 staff took part in the 5k Your Way run, organised for council and care trust staffs across London’s 32 boroughs.
Participants could train to any level and run or even just walk the distance.
Will Tuckley, the council’s chief executive, took the opportunity to get some sponsorship and raised £515 for the Bexley mayor’s charity Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
The mayor, Councillor Val Clark, was there to present prizes to Bexley’s most improved and committed runners.
Further 5k after-work runs are planned through the summer at different London venues.
Bexley also has its own sports and activity strategy which can be found at bexley.gov.uk/sports or call Bexley's sport and leisure team on 020 8294 6963 or Bexley Care Trust on 020 8298 6000.
