A PRIMARY school raised more than £4,000 at a fun day despite the sign advertising the event being vandalised.
Our Lady's Catholic Primary School in Dartford had put up a sign to advertise their summer fun day on Sunday, but it was torn down and tossed into a car park just days before the event.
However, that did not stop people turning up at the fair in King Edward Avenue, with a crowd of 450 there on the day to help raise £4,300 for the school.
Alison Manning, a member of the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association, which organised the event, said it was a “fantastic day”.
She said: “We had a tombola, hook-a-duck, lucky dip, bouncy castle, pets corner and much more.”
