The T-Mobile Big Dance 2010 is a celebration of dance from July 3 to 11, featuring nine days of events in unusual places showcasing the diversity of dance styles and cultural attractions.
Bromley Mytime is getting involved, working in partnership with the Arts Council of England to provide 12 free taster workshops across the borough.
Taking place from July 5 to 10, these workshops will be led by professional dancers with simple routines followed by a demonstration or performance.
All participants who take part in the tasters will be invited to join in a Big Workshop on July 11 at Crystal Palace Park as part of the Dancing Landscapes event, where they will be able to share their new skills in front of a live audience and be part of a number of Big Dance activities taking place across the capital.
Crystal Palace will also play host to demonstrations and activities in disciplines such as parkour, Bollywood, contemporary, tai chi, ballroom, Argentinean tango, lindihop, salsa, street and line dancing.
Following this event, several short courses will be held across the borough to enable people to participate in a variety of dance styles.
