SWANS were taking no chances when taking their herd out for a stroll.

Andrew Dunsmore, a photographer from West Wickham, snapped the two swans guiding their cygnets over the pedestrian crossing at Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe.

The father-of-two saw the birds as he was leaving and parked up to take the photos.

He said: “I’m always looking for unusual and interesting photos to take.

“I couldn’t have set it up, I just came out the shopping centre and there they were.”

And the swans seemed to know where they were going as they were seen swimming in a nearby pond shortly after.
