THE flag will be flying outside Bexley civic offices on June 21 as the borough salutes the country’s armed forces, past present and future.
New mayor Councillor Val Clark is inviting the public to join her at the flagpole in Bexleyheath Broadway for the raising of the flag at 10.30am and a short service of thanks.
Those attending will then be invited to join the mayor for refreshments.
The ceremony will be part of the celebrations for the annual Armed Forces Day on June 26.
