A 47-YEAR-OLD private tutor has been found guilty of sexually abusing two girls he was hired to teach.
Ugochukwu Okorie, of St Johns Court, Lewisham, was convicted at Inner London Crown Court of two counts of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old and two counts of sexual assaulting a six-year-old.
He was also convicted of possessing indecent images of other children after detectives discovered numerous CDs and USB sticks during a search of his home.
Okorie, who denied all the charges, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on July 2.
Detective Constable Jon Knox, from the Met’s child abuse investigation command, said: “Ugochukwu Okorie took advantage of the trust which was put into him by parents who thought their children were safe and being educated by him.
“The child abuse investigation command is committed to bringing perpetrators of sexual offences against children to justice and will deal with all allegations we receive in a sensitive manner.”
