Fourteen young people from the Archway Project based in Harrow Manor Way in Thamesmead have today set off for the Austrian Alps.
The Londoners will spend the next seven days travelling through Europe to the famous motor-sport event Erzberg Rodeo, where they will put their film production training techniques to the test interviewing the world’s elite motorbike riders.
The youngsters will be adding reports, photos and video clips to their blog on a daily basis. You can follow their progress at: www.archwaytoerzberg.tumblr.com - to receive updates simply click on the link and hit the ‘Follow’ button.
The Archway Project forms just one of the services which will be based at Trust Thamesmead’s brand new multi million pound project opening in Harrow Manor Way in the summer of 2011.
Established in 1982, the Archway Project works to enrich the lives of young people living in London by running a range of education and recreational activities from motorbike mechanics through to cookery and photography, working in partnership with schools, colleges, local authorities, the police and social services.
