A HISTORIAN will lead a guided walk across marshes to discover the past and folklore of the area.
Christoph Bull, the district manager of Gravesham and Dartford libraries and author of books on the history of north Kent, will guide walkers across Swanscombe Marshes on Sunday June 13.
Mr Bull said: “The walk is celebrating the successful campaign by Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council in getting the Pilgrims Road footpath reopened after nearly a decade of being blocked by fencing.
“The walk also remembers 20 years since the closure of Swanscombe Cement Works.”
To take part in the free walk, meet outside the George and Dragon pub in Galley Hill, Swanscombe, at 2.30pm.
