FAMILIES are being invited to celebrate Father’s Day at a World War Two event.
It takes place at Eltham Palace in Court Yard, Eltham, from 10am until 5pm on June 19 and June 20.
The English Heritage event includes battle re-enactments, weapon displays, mock evacuations, war-time music and dancing.
There will be a demonstration of military dogs at work and a recreation of the animal rescue squad, which used trained search dogs to find pets trapped under the rubble after bombing raids.
Para troopers will also stage a parachute drop and children can enjoy an obstacle course and training school.
