AN ACCIDENT involving four vehicles on the A2 has led to it being closed westbound in Eltham.

The crash between a motorbike, a van and two cars at the junction of Westhorne Avenue has led to congestion at the Black Prince Interchange.

Diversions are in operation via the slip roads.

There have also been reports of problems on the A2 near the Danson Interchange due to a collision.

The London Ambulance Service were called at 7.15am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car on the A2 near the junction with the A205.

A single responder in a car and an ambulance crew were sent to the scene.

Staff treated a man who was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a priority with a shoulder injury.

While staff treated the patient, the fast response car, which had nobody in it, was struck by another vehicle.

A second ambulance crew was called and a 62-year-old man was taken as a priority to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
