MEMBERS of Bexley’s Children’s Parliament have launched two new projects to help improve the lives of the borough’s children.

They are an anti-bullying DVD and a healthy eating cookbook.

The parliament, made up of elected children from the borough’s primary and secondary schools, launched them at its annual summit held at Bexley civic offices.

The anti-bullying DVD was put together by a group who wrote, directed and acted in the production which shows bullying and the damage it can cause, from a child’s point of view.

Another group complied the cookbook gathering together favourite recipes and ideas.

Both will now be shared free by schools across the borough.

The Children’s Parliament takes part in a number of activities including working with councillors and council officers and taking part in consultations.
