A GROUP of students are competing for £3,000 which they will donate to charity.
Year 10 pupils at Eltham Hill Technology College for Girls in Eltham Hill, Eltham, are taking part in a citizenship project.
It is sponsored by the Youth and Philanthropy Institute, which has been running in Canada for several years.
Each school is given £3,000 for students to give to charity.
They work in teams to produce a presentation about their chosen charity in order to compete for the money.
The first round has been completed and seven teams will be in the final on Friday (June 11).
Students are representing various charities including Greenwich Toy Library Association, Demelza Children’s Hospice, and Greenwich Mencap.
