DISABLED young people are celebrating after a charity gave them a customised go-kart, scooter and two trikes.
Variety Club Children’s Charity, which supports disabled youngsters across the country, gave the special equipment to Northfleet Youth Centre’s Accessible Club last week.
The Accessible Club has 50 members who meet weekly at the centre in Hall Road, which is run by Kent County Council’s Kent Youth Service, and they will all be able to use the new kit.
Kent Youth Service’s senior youth worker Nigel Crocker said: “This new equipment means the young people using the centre can enjoy the fun and freedom of riding a bike.”
