SIX fire engines were called to a fire in a derelict hospital last night (May 31).
The roof and the top floor of the two storey building was damaged in Avonley Road, New Cross.
There were no reported injuries and 30 firefighters successfully extinguished the fire.
The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at 9.30pm and the blaze was under control by 1.30am.
It is believed the building was due to be demolished in two weeks time.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
