NEW ASH GREEN: Youths blamed for wood fire
YOUTHS are being blamed for a fire in woodland in New Ash Green last night (May 27).
The amount of woodland burning at around 9pm was said to be quite small but its location made it difficult for the crew from Dartford to get to.
They managed to get their fire engine through a gate off Church Road after cutting a padlock.
It was then about a mile walk to get to the scene.
They were there for around two hours.
