POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of attempting to abduct a 15-year-old girl from a recreation ground.
Kent police arrested a 40-year-old man from Gravesend this morning (May 27) and took him to north Kent police station, where he is being questioned.
He is suspected of attempting to abduct the girl as she was walking across The Warren in Valley Drive, Gravesend, at around 8.30am on Tuesday (May 25).
He is alleged to have tried to pull her into bushes, but after a struggle the girl got away.
