NIGHTBIRDS turned out in large numbers for a walk to raise money for a hospice.
Around 160 people stayed up until the small hours to take part in St Christopher’s Hospice’s first ever Midnight Walk, sponsored by News Shopper.
Money raised from the walk will go to the hospice’s Candle Project, which offers counselling to bereaved young people in south-east London.
The five-mile route started and finished at the hospice in Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham and took in two loops of Crystal Palace Park.
St Christopher’s is still counting the total amount of cash raised and walkers are being reminded to collect their sponsorship.
Anyone needing assistance sending money in should call the fundraising team on 020 8768 4575.
