CHILDREN and adults are being urged to get an eye test at least once every two years.
Bromley Council and the Kent Association for the Blind are running a We Care Eye Care campaign to raise awareness of the need for a regular eye test to avoid long-term damage.
Portfolio holder for adult and community services Councillor Graham Arthur said: “So often people don’t realise that sight loss can be avoided by a simple eye test and can help detect early signs of harmful conditions such as glaucoma.
“Other conditions can also be picked up before other symptoms have been spotted such as high blood pressure, diabetes and some heart conditions.”
