FAMILIES are being invited to take part in a theatrical walk based on the life and times of Dick Turpin.
Company of Shadows received funding from Lewisham Council to hold the walk on Blackheath at the Bike and Kite festival on June 12 and June 13.
The cash was awarded from the council’s Locality Fund, which is a pot of money given to ward councillors to spend in consultation with communities and their local assembly on small projects.
Company of Shadows received £4,185 from the Blackheath assembly for the cost of the show.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Blackheath can attend assembly meetings to discuss issues in the area.
Founder of the company, Norman Murray, said: “This is the best swashbuckling adventure ever to be performed on bicycles."
