A GREYHOUND rescue charity has celebrated its first birthday and re-homing its 100th dog.
Kent Greyhound Rescue, which is based across the county and takes in and re-homes abandoned dogs, marked its first birthday earlier this month.
Around £500 was raised for the charity at the celebration, which followed the re-homing of its 100th greyhound, four-year-old Sky, who now lives with a couple in Herne Bay.
A spokesman said the celebration was to mark “a great achievement for all the trustees and volunteers who have worked hard over the past 12 months”.
He added: “Sky was the centre of attention and shared sausages, dog biscuits and a gallop in the paddock with other rescued hounds.”
