Thamesmead manager Keith McMahon has been busy building on the success of last season by re-signing the squads key players and capturing the signature of much sought after Bradley Spice.
Centre forward, Spice, 27, captured the attention of clubs after spells at Dover and Sittingbourne, but was happy with the offer from Thamesmead.
“This is massive in the progress for the club,” said manager McMahon. “A lot of clubs were chasing him, so I’m pleased to bring him to Thamesmead. He is quick, solid and I’m sure he will score a bundle of goals.”
The news comes as work on the new Bayliss Avenue stadium progresses quickly towards completion in December.
“Next season is going to be a very exciting time for the club,” continued McMahon. “We will have first class facilities, which has helped attract quality players and a quality squad that will build on last years success (7th in Ryman League, Div 1 North)”
The Mead have arranged a pre-season programme of friendly matches, beginning at home to Whitstable on 24 July, Dulwich Hamlet, 27th, Maidstone 31st before a trip to Stanstead on 3rd August.
