FRIENDS have been paying tribute online to a 14-year-old boy who drowned in a deep water dock.
Kafi Ibrahim, a pupil at Prendergast-Ladywell Fields College in Brockley, fell into Rainbow Quay in Surrey Quays at around noon on Saturday (May 25).
Police divers only managed to find him two hours later and he was eventually pronounced dead in hospital at 4.10pm.
Friends of Kafi have set up two tribute pages to him on the website Facebook which have been joined by 123 people so far.
One writes: “Nothing will ever make us forget you. Thanks for being my first friend when I started at skool fam.”
Another writes: “How r we meant to play good football without our no.1 striker?”
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
