A HIT and run victim is being treated in hospital after being knocked over in Beckenham last night.
She was walking along Croydon Road near the junction with Groveland Road when she was hit by a white VW Polo at around 8.30pm.
The car knocked her into a garden and then hit a wall and a street sign.
A Met police spokesman says the driver stopped but only to pull the street sign off the front of his vehicle before driving off.
He is described as being black, of slim build and in his 20s.
The 22-year-old pedestrian was taken to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, where her injuries were at first believed to be life threatening.
They are now deemed as being less serious and her condition is described as stable.
A white VW Polo was torched in Betts Park, Anerley, around eight hours after the collision.
Police are treating the two incidents as linked.
Anyone who has any information about the collision should call Bromley police on 01689 891212.
