ANERLEY: VW Polo torched in Betts Park
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car fire in a park in Anerley this morning (May 25).
A white VW Polo had been torched and abandoned in Betts Park at around 4am.
Two fire crews were called to the scene and put out the vehicle which was completely destroyed by fire.
The firefighters were there for around 40 minutes.
A white VW Polo was involved in a hit and run in Croydon Road, Beckenham, around eight hours before the fire.
Police are treating the two incidents as linked.
