CHILDREN from schools across the borough have been helping Bexley Alzheimer’s Society celebrate its 25th birthday.
The celebrations were launched by Bexley councillor and former mayor Nick O’Hare who raised money for the society during his mayoral year.
Passers-by in Bexleyheath Broadway were entertained with singing by the choirs from Hurst, Sherwood Park, Upton and Mayplace primary schools.
And large crowds joined the children to watch a traditional show by world famous Punch and Judy man John Styles.
Antonio and Janet Mehmet won the name-the-animal competition held during the day and the celebrations were rounded off with a balloon release by the children from Mayplace Primary School.
