A WALKING festival around north Kent’s most scenic spots and stunning landscapes begins this weekend.
The North Kent Walking Festival begins on Saturday (May 29), and more than 100 guided walks will take place across the area until the end of June.
Organised by Kent County Council, with support from Gravesham Council, the festival aims to get people active while highlighting the beauty of the area.
A Gravesham Council spokeswoman said: “The walks take place at various times of the day and many are themed, covering interests such as local history, wildlife, archaeology, food and drink.”
