Intrepid tandem jumper and 1230 The Women’s Company member Paola Bagnall, carried out her first jump to celebrate her 60th birthday. Paola was so exhilarated by the experience that she then went on to do 2 further jumps for charity. The most recent being on 20 May when she raised an amazing £1,380 for St Raphael's Hospice (where Paola's mother spent her last few days) exceeding her goal by £380. Paola hasn’t yet sprouted feathers but comments “Yet again this was a brilliant experience and I may have to do another one just for fun!” We’ll let you know!
On a slightly different note Paola told us that she won’t be on the 1230 TWC networking scene for a little while as her son David is awaiting brain surgery for the removal of a cyst in the centre of his brain. It was found by chance when he fell off his bicycle last Saturday - the cyst may have caused his collapse. The cyst was discovered in a brain scan to check for concussion following the fall. Paola has cancelled her scheduled trip to Canada and Alaska to focus on her son. Please hold Paola and David in your thoughts.
