SUSTAINABLE transport charity Sustrans joined neighbourhood police officers on a visit to a Bexleyheath school to talk about cycling.
PCSOs Claire Dunmall and John Cullingham from the Brampton ward police team joined Andy Casson from Sustrans on the visit to St Thomas More Primary School in Sheldon Road, Bexleyheath.
While the PCSOs property marked the children’s bikes, Mr Casson serviced the cycles and led a cycling awareness session, as well as encouraging parents to ditch their cars for more environmental ways of getting to school.
The PCSOs also encouraged parents to register their children’s bikes on immobilise.com which is a national property register.
