WOMEN are being urged to sign up to a 5km run to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
There are 3,500 places left to fill for the Race for Life event, which is being held on Blackheath on July 4.
So far, 7,500 women and girls have entered and are preparing to walk, jog or run the course.
Blackheath event manager for Cancer Research UK, Jemma Molloy, said: “We are concerned places in this year’s Blackheath Race for Life have been slow to fill.
“But we want to remind these ‘missing’ women just how important their contribution is.
“One in three people are diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives and research is very expensive.”
To enter, visit raceforlife.org or call 0871 641 1111.
