A 30-YEAR-OLD woman appeared in court yesterday following the killing of great grandmother Irene Barrett.
Mrs Barrett, 88, was found with multiple stab wounds at her 15th-floor flat in Valiant House, a high-rise block overlooking Charlton Athletic's football stadium, at the weekend.
Police say she had also been severely beaten while her home, where she had lived alone for 20 years, was looted for jewellery and cash.
Yesterday, Victoria Cordice, of Little Heath, Charlton, appeared via videolink at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court charged with perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender.
Daniel Franklin, aged 33, of Felixstowe Road, Abbey Wood, has already been charged with Mrs Barrett's murder.
Both have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 25.
