A COUNCIL leader has marked his party’s election success by naming almost exactly the same cabinet as before.
Councillor Chris Roberts was officially installed as leader of Greenwich Council at its AGM following local elections in which his Labour group romped to victory with an increased majority.
Only one change has been made to his cabinet, which sees Cllr Angela Cornforth dropped from her role as member for health, adults and older people.
Councillor Peter Brooks remains as the deputy leader while the other seven cabinet members are exactly the same as previously.
Ward councillor for Woolwich Riverside Cllr Barbara Barwick has been selected as the borough’s mayor for the coming year.
