YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a summer party which included performances from musicians and comedians.
More than 200 young people aged 11 to 16 attended All Saints Community Centre in New Cross Road, New Cross, for a performance by Dizzee Rascal’s cousin, Gracious K.
The event was organised by the under 16’s forum from youth group, Ministry of Youth (MOY), which is a joint project between Lewisham Youth Service and youth community centres in the area.
Project co-ordinator at MOY, Philip Mills, said “I’m very pleased with the outcome of the day.
“It was good to see the hard work the young people put in over the past month pay off and they were able to help their friends have an enjoyable time.”
