A BURGLAR who broke into a Bexleyheath bungalow was caught through the traces of blood he left behind.
Shane Ebury, aged 29, unemployed, of Lemonwell Drive, Eltham, pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court, to breaking into the property in December last year.
The burglary was discovered when neighbour noticed the side gate to the bungalow ripped off its hinges.
The property is being rented out while the owners are abroad and was empty at the time.
Ebury caused more than £700 worth of damage breaking in, and stole £500 worth of property including a plasma television.
Ebury, who was already known to police, was given a two-year supervised community order, concurrent with fifteen months in a drug rehabilitation unit.
