TWO Bexley farm shops have become the latest to sign up to a group supplying unwanted food to hostels for the homeless.

Food Not Bombs was set up recently by a group of volunteers to take surplus in-date food which would otherwise be thrown away by businesses, then cooking it and serving it free to residents at St Mungo’s hostels for the homeless in London.

Now Kelsey’s Farm Shop in Water Lane, North Cray and the Ruxley Farm Shop in Maidstone Road, Sidcup, have signed up to the project and are providing it with food.
