STAFF and owners of a garden centre are celebrating the arrival of an unusual new attraction.
Two years ago Ruxley Manor Garden Centre in Maidstone Road, Sidcup, bought a pair of reindeer, which were named Bracken and Bramble.
The pair, which have featured at the centre’s Christmas celebrations since they arrived in Sidcup, were unrelated, in the hope they might breed one day.
And last week, Bramble gave birth to her first calf.
The centre will launch a competition next week to name the male calf who will also take part in this year’s Christmas festivities.
But he will be seen in public before then, as it is planned to walk him around the centre during the summer, to get him used to crowds.
