A BEAUTY contest hopeful is appealing for votes in the final week of a nationwide competition.
Collet Collins, from Anderly, has been selected as one of the 30 finalists for the Kent Beauty Awards which is being held on the Miss England website.
The 23-year-old is hoping to win the title and a place in the Miss England semi final on June 14.
She said: ‘’I’m so pleased to be chosen as a finalist.
“This opportunity could change my life, and with it I hope to be able to change other people’s lives too.’’
One of the challenges of the Kent Beauty Awards is to raise money for the Variety Club children’s charity.
Miss Collins said: "Unlike with other heats in Miss England, there isn’t an incentive to be issued an automatic sponsor or involuntary maintenance for charity fundraising.
“How much money you raise or exposure you build for yourself is all down you.
“That’s exactly why I think the Kent Beauty Awards best suits me.’’
The final day for voting in the Kent Beauty Awards is May 26.
