ONE million historical photographs and reports are being made available online for the first time.
Historical organisation English Heritage is making more than one million images and documents on the country’s historical buildings and archaeological sites available to order.
Previously the files could only be viewed in person at the organisation’s archives in Swindon.
Visitors to the site can explore the history of Greenwich sites as diverse as Kidbrooke’s Ferrier Estate, Woolwich High Street and the Old Royal Naval College.
There’s further information on the old Deptford Coroners Court and Mortuary, Lewisham’s gas holders, and many others.
To view some of the files and order copies visit englishheritagearchives.org.uk
