A COMMUNITY warden led a team of volunteers in a litter pick to clean up their area.
Kent County Council Community Warden Christine Bates organised a day of removing litter from streets in Swanscombe and Greenhithe on May 14.
Among the volunteers were councillors from Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council and staff from Swan Valley Community School in Southfleet Road, Swancombe.
A spokesman for the town council said: "Special praise must go to Christine and her team for the time and effort they gave in making the project a wonderfully successful operation.
"It is hoped this will become a more frequent event with volunteers joining the town council and its partners."
