A HOSPICE entertained youngsters while raising more than £5,000 for its care for terminally ill patients.
EllenorLions Hospice held a summer fete at its base in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, on Saturday (May 15) and around 550 people attended.
There were games for children and stalls selling sweet treats, and around £5,400 was raised for the hospice’s care for people across north Kent and Bexley with life-shortening illnesses.
Linda Wood, a community fundraiser for the hospice, said: “It was national children’s hopsice week so we tried to have as many fun things for the children as possible.
“We had a punch and judy show and all the staff and volunteers were in fancy dress, and there was a real atmosphere of fun.”
