RAVENS Wood School in Bromley recently unveiled a stunning new cricket facility.
The four-lane net has been developed to maximise chances to bat and bowl on a professional standard surface.
Tom Beaumont, the teacher in charge of cricket at Ravens Wood, said: “The facility will allow our teams and players to fulfil their potential.
“The school have set extremely high standards for sports such as rugby union and league, football, basketball and athletics, so now it is the cricketers’ turn to shine.
“This £36,000 facility means exciting times are ahead for cricketers at Ravens Wood.
“As a result of investment in new facilities, equipment, coaching and high level competition, I think it is a realistic aim to make Ravens Wood a recognised centre for outstanding cricket in the borough.”
Ryhs Spiers, who is head of the Enrichment School at Ravens Wood, added: “The development of this new cricket facility is more fantastic news for students at Ravens Wood School.
“Plans are in place which will see an all weather G3 surface built on the school site.”
