A 52-YEAR-OLD man accused of stabbing his brother to death and setting fire to his own flat appeared in court today (May 18).
Richard Coore, of Filton Court, Avonley Road, New Cross, appeared at the Old Bailey charged with murder and arson. He denies both charges.
He was remanded in custody and is due to stand trial on September 23.
Firefighters found the body of 65-year-old Perseus Coore, from High Wycombe, when they were called to a fire in a second-floor flat in Filton Court at 1pm on September 8.
A post-mortem examination found he had suffered multiple stab wounds.
