THIS year marks the 25th anniversary of a local history society.
The Farningham and Eynsford Local History Society celebrated at the general annual meeting at Farningham Village Hall on Friday.
President Dr Wilfred Dumcombe cut a birthday cake with fellow historians to mark the occasion.
The society meet every three months alternately in Farningham and Eynsford Village Halls to carry out historical studies of the area.
Chairperson Barbara Cannell said: “We’re interested in researching people as well as old buildings and regularly invite speakers in to talk to the society.
“The society is important as it enables us to record what’s happened in the area before it gets lost in history.”
