A POLICE sergeant is riding the length of the UK to raise cash for a charity which supports soldiers wounded on the frontline.
Bromley police’s Sergeant Rob Richards is cycling around 1,000 miles in a one-man mission from Lands End to John O’Groats in aid of charity Help for Heroes.
Mr Richards, who is aiming to raise £2,000, will be carrying everything he needs on his bike, including tent, sleeping gear and food.
He starts his journey on May 26 and hopes to complete the ride in 10 days.
The 37-year-old, who lives in Biggin Hill, said: “The challenges faced by our wounded service personnel can be huge and the support they receive from Help for Heroes is invaluable.”
