TAKE a step back in time this summer with a day trip on a traditional steam train.

News Shopper has teamed up with The Railway Touring Company to offer one lucky reader a pair of premier dining tickets, worth £338, for a day trip to the beautiful Dorset seaside.

On board The Dorset Coast Express, the winner will enjoy a full English breakfast and light lunch, followed by a four course dinner on the return journey.

A pair of first class tickets, worth £210, will be given to one runner-up and includes coffee and Danish pastries in the morning and tea and biscuits in the afternoon.

The steam train’s restored vintage carriages will be hauled by magnificent, historic locomotives, including the grand 30777 Sir Lamiel, built in 1925.

Trains depart from either London Victoria or Clapham Junction stations and winners can choose to travel on July 9 or any Wednesday from July 21 to September 1.
