A SECOND World War dogfight between an RAF fighter plane and its Nazi equivalent will be re-enacted at this year’s Biggin Hill International Air Fair.
A Supermarine Spitfire and a Messerschmitt 109 from the Nazi Luftwaffe will come face-to-face as part of a recreation of the Battle of Britain.
The simulated scenario, which will use giant screens close to the flight line showing archive film material, will feature in the daily flying display on June 26 and 27.
Organiser Colin Hitchins said: “Our aim is to build authenticity into the re-enactment with the help of accomplished pilots and the collection of outstanding aircraft that they will be flying at Biggin Hill.”
