YOUNGSTERS at a school have opened their own bank to help them learn maths and financial skills.
Riverview Junior School in Cimba Wood, Gravesend, has opened a school bank, which is both run and used by the pupils.
A NatWest representative gave the students tips on running the bank at the launch event on Wednesday (May 12), which was overseen by Mayor of Gravesham Councillor Bill Lambert.
A school spokeswoman said: “The ‘employees’ of the school bank were formally interviewed by the headteacher, Rosemary Dymond, and a representative from NatWest.
“They are undertaking stringent training to help them in their new career. This is a positive initiative to prepare them in life skills for the future. ”
