A CLEANING company is encouraging homeowners to ditch the gym for household chores.
Domestic cleaning company, Molly Maid, says women can burn an extra 150 calories an hour by combing exercise with their cleaning routine.
Women in Greenwich are being urged to try the workout, which incorporates dusting, cleaning the bathroom and vacuuming with simple exercises such as stretches, lunges, squats and bends.
A warm up includes dancing to music as you dust and vacuuming works on larger muscle groups such as quads, glutes and hamstrings.
Other exercise ideas focus on smaller muscles such as shoulders, biceps and triceps, which can be worked on by cleaning the bathroom and work surfaces.
