EVERYTHING English was on the agenda when children from a Bexley primary school celebrated what England is famous for.
The youngsters from Parkway Primary School in Alsike Road, Thamesmead, were astonished to find Yeoman Warden Ray Stones waiting for them one morning in his full ceremonial costume.
Mr Stones, Raven Master at the Tower of London, captivated them with stories about the tower’s famous ravens.
Bexley’s mayor Bernard Clewes and his wife and mayoress Edna visited to show off his MBE and explain his mayoral duties.
There were trips to the Royal Mews and the National Maritime Museum, and cricket matches, followed by cream teas.
The week finished with a display by the St Clements Cloggs Morris Dancers which proved more entertaining when some of the teachers joined in
