A 37-YEAR-OLD man will be cycling from London to Paris to raise money for a hospice which cared for his fiancée’s mother.
David Hemmings, a timber merchant, will be starting the four day ride on May 26 from Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
He hopes to raise £5,000 for the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice.
Mr Hemmings, from Welling, said: “I've been meaning to do something for quite some time to thank the Hospice for the excellent support they gave to my fiancée at that most difficult time.
“The London to Paris bike ride looked like just the ticket to combine my love of cycling with a decent enough challenge to raise money for this most worthy cause."
